What Do Brighouse SOS Offer?

Brighouse School's Out Scheme (SOS) is an out of school club scheme located on the Woodhouse Primary School grounds (in the portacabin, just off the car park). We have a friendly team of senior playworkers and an on-site manager who is also fully trained and qualified in childcare.


How is Brighouse SOS Regulated?

We are registered with Ofsted, the Charities Commission and Companies House and comply with all relevant requirements from each body.


How is Brighouse SOS Managed?

SOS is run as a charity by a volunteer committee of parents of existing members. We are not run to make a profit and all surplus funds are ploughed back into the scheme for the benefit of the children. What makes us unique is that the people who make the decisions have children in our care, and no corners are cut for the sake of profit when it comes to safety, health, play resources or the food we provide.

Apart from the way SOS is managed and financed, it is an out of school club like any other, with the same resources, planning, staff and monitoring by Ofsted. Our commitment is to provide safe, professional care in a fun and friendly environment at an affordable price. Come and see for yourself what the club is like in operation. You're welcome to visit on spec but if you would like to spend more time discussing options for your child's care please let the team know and they will ensure someone is available to chat with you.
